Choosing the Right HF RFID Inlay for Your Application

As an HF RFID inlay manufacturer in India, we build 13.56 MHz inlays to two broad standards, and matching the standard to your use case matters more than headline specs. ISO 14443 chips (Mifare Classic S50/S70, DESFire, F08, NXP Ultralight) suit secure, short-range taps of a few centimetres — the near-field behaviour wanted for access control and cashless NFC payments and ticketing. ISO 15693 vicinity chips read more easily in bulk, which is why they dominate RFID book and library labels, document tracking and sample management.

Because HF is a near-field technology, real-world performance depends on antenna geometry and the mounting surface as much as the chip — our note on how HF, NFC and UHF differ explains why. Our PET and polyester inlays are converted on German Muhlbauer machines and can be laminated into cards, die-cut as paper-faced printer labels, or potted into ABS and anti-metal housings for on-metal use. We supply dry, wet (adhesive) or paper inlays in roll format for high-speed encoding lines, and pair them with matching HF/NFC readers. Customisation — logos, QR codes, laser numbering and colour — runs on a 5 to 10 day turnaround. Order standard stock, or send us your artwork, chip preference and volume for a manufacturer quote.

Frequently asked questions

Are you an HF RFID inlay manufacturer in India?

Yes. Identium Tech Solutions is a BIS and WPC approved RFID manufacturer based in New Delhi. We convert HF and NFC inlays in-house on German Muhlbauer machines, serve Delhi NCR and all of India, and also export. Every batch is tested before dispatch.

Which HF chips do your 13.56 MHz inlays support?

Common options include NXP Mifare Classic S50/S70, DESFire (EV1), Mifare Ultralight, F08 and the N21X NFC family. Chip choice depends on whether you need simple identity, secure keys for access or payment, or standard NDEF NFC data — tell us the application and we will recommend a chip.

What read range should I expect from an HF RFID inlay?

HF and NFC operate near-field at 13.56 MHz, so read range is typically a few centimetres. This is by design — it gives deliberate, tap-style reads ideal for cards, tickets, library books and access, rather than the several-metre range of passive UHF.

Can you customise inlays with our logo, size and unique numbering?

Yes. We print QR codes, logos and text, add laser numbering or engraving, and offer custom sizes and colours on request. Standard formats include roll, individually vacuum-sealed delivery. Customisation typically runs on a 5 to 10 day turnaround depending on artwork and volume.

What do HF RFID inlays cost, and is there a minimum order?

HF inlay pricing is volume-dependent and varies with chip, size, format (dry, wet or paper) and print/encoding requirements, so we quote per project rather than a fixed rate. Share your chip preference, artwork and annual quantity and we will send an indicative, current manufacturer quote.
