The most resilient deployments layer three things: a credential the person carries, a biometric that proves the credential is theirs, and an audit trail that records every event. For premises like vaults, data centres and jewellery showrooms, we recommend pairing door-level access control with biometrics against asset-level tagging, so you know not only who entered but which high-value items moved. Encrypted HF credentials such as NXP Mifare DESFire resist cloning far better than plain 125 kHz proximity cards; where duplication is a concern, migrating to DESFire on your RFID access cards is a sensible upgrade.
